Men Need Skin Care Too!

Posted by Dawn Henderson on

Fellas, you have to know that you need a solid skin care routine too, right?

Biologically, men have more collagen & elasticity in their skin than women do. This makes the skin of a man thicker and more firm, which is why men age slower than women. This is exactly why you need a cleansing routine!

First and foremost, know your skin type. We have another article letting you know how to recognize your individual skin type. However, if you have a tissue near just dab your t-zone area and if you leave an oily residue on the tissue, you more than likely have oily skin. If you see flakes, dry skin. Simple!

Follow a skin care routine that works for you and your skin. Wash your skin twice daily. Once in the morning because oil builds up overnight and once in the evening to cleanse from your typical day. Make sure exfoliating at least twice per week is usual in your skin care routine. Exfoliating removes dirt, oil and dry skin. The Green Tea Facial Wash or the Tea Tree Charcoal Soap are two great options. They are both vegan and chemical free!

Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize! - We can’t stress this enough. Even if your skin appears to be oily, it could be screaming for moisture. Due to the biology of a mans skin, be sure to choose an all natural product that not only moisturizes, but heals as well. If you have dry skin the perfecf moisturizer will penetrate under the surface of your thick skin to heal and hydrate.

Since men and women have different skin types, products are usually formulated differently using those factors. It’s extremely important to chose your skin care products naturally and wisely. The products you use can make your break the overall health of your skin. And again, even if you have “good skin”, you still want to solidify a routine to keep you flawless and balanced.
